San Francisco cops arrest 25 for Super Bowl-related rowdiness! - www.BailNowSanFranCiscoCounty.com

Considering what it could have been, Super Bowl Sunday was quiet for San Francisco police. A police spokesman said officers arrested about 25 people for public intoxication related to Sunday's big game, which the 49ers' lost, 34-31, to the Baltimore Ravens. Another person was arrested on suspicion of arson after lighting a tree on fire, according to the spokesman, Officer Albie Esparza. The fire was quickly doused and the suspect, who initially ran from police, was chased down and taken into custody. "After that, it was relatively quiet," Esparza said. Extra patrols were deployed during Sunday's game, as city officials hoped to prevent rowdy celebrations akin to those that followed the San Francisco Giants' World Series win in October, when three dozen people were arrested as bonfires were set, cars were overturned and a city bus was set ablaze.
